Meet the Girls of Pattaya

Pattaya is a place where dreams come true for a lot of guys. It's a beautiful seaside resort, palms lining the blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand and the sun shines almost every day of the year, but it's no secret that it's the girls of Pattaya, that is the biggest draw.

First time visitors in Pattaya, easy to spot with a big grin on their face, often can't believe their eyes. It's like you have been suddenly transported to another dimension where none of the rules of the outside world apply. Chances are good that Pattaya is pretty close to what many guys imagine paradise on earth to be like! Beautiful Thai women are everywhere and incredibly, they all seem interested in you. Most men can't resist the charms of the girls of Pattaya and spend their vacation with reliving their youth. Pattaya girls have that unique gift; to make you feel like you are young, virile and strong again. Like you are still in the game, no longer relegated to the back of the dating line.

Now, there are many places a man might find bliss in Pattaya: the open air beer bars, the flashy gogo bars and the clubs, but there needs to be said a few words of caution. I've seen many guys, fresh to Thailand and a little naive, spend their savings on the wrong kind of girl.

Many girls of Pattaya are sincere about wanting to meet a man they can settle down with, but there are also those who are attracted to the hectic, party lifestyle. If you want a relationship that will last, then it pays off to know the difference. On the other hand, if your goal is just to enjoy yourself in the company with as many beautiful women as possible, then don't let on that you want more. Trust me, the jealousy fits may be flattering in the be flattering in the beginning, but it rarely ends well.

If you want to know more about how to experience everything Pattaya has to offer, then check out my ebook 'Pattaya Girls 101', you can find it on http://pattayagirls101.com. It's an ebook written by men who have lived the dream in Pattaya and know what Pattaya girls are like, how to meet and attract the girl of your dreams and how to manage a relationship with a Thai girl. I hope to see you soon in Pattaya!

Meet the Beautiful Pattaya Girls

Pattaya is one of it's kind. I doubt there is anywhere else in the world that has as many attractive women gathered in one place. If there is some kind of index for the number of beautiful girls per square foot, then Pattaya is probably on top!

That, along with the the tropical climate, the cheap cost of living and excellent food, makes Pattaya a popular destination to holiday and retire. Though Pattaya is clearly a part of Thailand, it sometimes seem like it's an entity of it's own, removed from the rest of the world. It's a magical place, some call it heaven on earth, others Disneyland for adults. Whatever you come looking for here, you are sure to find it.

It's no secret that a lot of single men find happiness in Pattaya. Some go to Pattaya to feel young again, to drink and party with young, sexy women, but many eventually look for a girlfriend or wife once the initial wild days are over.

There are many ways to meet Pattaya girls: In the bars and gogo's, on the internet, trough introductions or just from a casual meet in a shopping mall. Many Thai women do not go the bars but would still like to meet a Western gentleman.

Good advice is to be honest about what you are looking for. If it's a hot affair and nights of steamy sex you want, then don't let on to want a serious relationship. If you're looking for a girlfriend, then perhaps the bars are not the best place to start the hunt.

If you would like to know more about Pattaya girls, then I recommend my ebook 'Pattaya Girls 101', compiled from the experiences of men who have lived in Pattaya and know what it's like. You can find it on my website: http://pattayagirls101.com. See you soon in Pattaya!

Santa Barbara Restaurants - Asian Food

Santa Barbara has a wealth of great restaurants, but the focus here is on Asian food. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Korean, the city has it all. If you're looking for tasty Occidental eats on the Central Coast, here are some of my favorites.

Chinese - several good choices here. I don't think Santa Barbara has any Chinese places that can match the best of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but what we've got is pretty good. China Pavilion, with locations downtown on Chapala St. and in Montecito on Coast Village Rd. definitely has the best Chinese food in town. It's a little more pricey than the average takeout place, but the quality of the food and the elegance of the decor make it worth the money. Madam Lu on Upper State St. is so pricey or quite so good, but it's solid Chinese food at a reasonable price. Also worth considering is Yen Ching on De La Vina. They've been around forever and the Chow Mein is top notch.

Japanese - If it's Sushi you're after, the city has some solid options. Arigato Sushi, on State St. across from the Granada theater serves the best Sushi in town. Some consider it a hang-out for poseurs, but even if you don't like the crowd, you'll like the Sushi. Sushi Terri with three locations in town has great grilled Teriyaki and very passable Suchi. For combination of food and value, it's tough to beat. If you're looking for something off the beaten path, consider Itsuki Restaurant. It's tucked away in a shambling strip mall just off of Upper State, but the inside is a little taste of Kyoto. Worth searching out.

Thai - Several options here, but none are really top class. The venerable Your Place on Milpas St. is the best Thai food I've had in town. Good stuff at reasonable prices. Pattaya Bar & Grill in Old Town Goleta is a new entrant on the scene that shows great promise. If you're out that way, give it a try. Your Choice on Upper State St. is another worth considering.

Vietnamese - The Santa Barbara area has a surprising number of good Vietnamese restaurants, although the best are actually out in Goleta. Saigon Noodle House in the K-Mart shopping center in Goleta is my current favorite. Excellent Bun Bo Nuong Xa and very passable Pho. The food at Noodle City in Old Town Goleta is every bit as good, but the seating is more cramped. Excellent service to boot. Saigon In-and-Out has three locations in town and is worth checking out too.

Why I Don't Date Thailand Bar Girls

Thailand is a magical place, the beaches, warm climate, unique culture, great food and beautiful women. It's easy to see how a visitor in Thailand may think that he has found paradise at last. Every years, thousands and thousands of Western men return home from a holiday in Thailand wanting to return as fast as possible. Many times, the reason for this is a woman, and more often than not it's a bar girl who has put a spell on him. Sometimes, everything works out and the couple live happily ever after, but in other instances, cultural differences and mistaken expectations lead to nasty breakups. Over the years, I've seen many Thai-Farang relationships. Those that lasted were generally not those who began in a bar.

There's nothing wrong with meeting your Thai sweetheart in a bar, I mean, that happens all the time back home, but I think there are good reasons to be vary before entering into a serious relationship with a 'bar girl'.

I am not one of those people who think that Thai women working in a bar are necessarily 'bad' or only out for money, far from it actually, but I do think that their lifestyle may present some problems in the long run.

Picture this: A young, attractive girl from the countryside goes to work in a bar. She's never been out of the village before, let alone met any foreigners. Her daily life probably consisted of working in a rice paddy or falling asleep at some menial and boring job. Then she comes to Bangkok or Pattaya, with her head full of dreams and hopes. What she finds is a place where the neon lights are bright, every day is a party, drinking, sleeping until noon and then starting over.

For a young inexperienced girl anywhere, that kind of lifestyle has to be exciting. So, you see, when she meets you in a bar, is she really looking to settle down with a guy who is often significantly older than her?

Even if she is, is she ready to leave the easy work and big money behind and start working in a 9-5 job again? Leave her new friends and be the perfect stay at home wife? Most likely not.

The bar scene attracts a certain type on both sides of the equation. If you're looking for a nice Thai woman to settle down with and eventually marry, then I recommend looking elsewhere.

Take a walk down any street in Thailand; do you notice at least one girl sending you a shy look, maybe a smile? Maybe you don't, cause we as Westerners are not in tune with the subtle signals Thai women send to men they are interested in. Don't expect a 'good' Thai girl to make the first step.

That's why I generally tell my friend to meet Thai women online first.

You'd be amazed how many Thai women are interested in meeting you. And it's definitely not only bar girls. Most of the time, the women you meet online are smart, educated women who want the freedom and stability a foreign man can provide. Believe it or not, Westerners still have a good reputation in Thailand.

So, go for it, sign up for a dating site and see what happens! You really have nothing to lose!

On Vacation? Go to Pattaya

Do you want to go for Vacation ? If you have sometimes May I suggest you the place that will make you happy and relax?

Pattaya is the City of Chonburi located near Bangkok, Thailand (147 km) It's the city of joy & nightlife entertainment . You can always have beer 24 hour a day and sit on the beer counter enjoy drinking with the pretty Pattaya Girl.

Walking Street is the one place that you have to visit once in your life. The place are surrounded with many restaurant, pub & bar.

Especially, Thai food and sea food. it's very delicious and the price is also reasonable. After finished your meal you can sit back, relax or go for a walk to any pub that have live music or the Karaoke night club also available.

During the day times, you can enjoy your sun bahting or there's a lot of attracting place that you should visit such as the mini siam, Royal garden pattaya, Believe it or not by Ripley, Alangkarn Show, Tiffany & Alcaza Show, under water world.

If you want to visit the natural place there's "Suan Nong Nuch Garden" it's very beautiful garden also you can enjoy your life on the beach all day long especially, Jomtien beach it's very quite beach.

Why I suggest you to Pattaya? at this point you might know or not quite sure yet. Another thing that will make you want to go to Pattaya during your vacation is the Accomodation.

There's a lot of Accomodation type you can choose to stay in Pattaya. If you have a lot of times of your Vacation. (mostly do)

I suggest you to stay in the longstay apartment or guest house and bargain them for the best price, Acutally the price will range between 300-500 USD per month(included everything). It will make you save extra money to use for other things rather than paying for the hotel charge rooms and you can enjoy everything exactly the same as one who choose to live in hotel as well as the service.

Till now it's all up to you where you should to go, but for me I think Pattaya is the place to go & visit once in the life times.

Fun Things to Do in Chicago

Chicago is one of my favorite cities. I lived there for seven years while I was a graduate student at the University of Chicago. I have also visited there many times. Among my favorite places to visit in Chicago are the Art Institute, the University of Chicago, the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History. Chicago also has plenty of great restaurants, bars, and blues clubs.

I first visited Chicago with my girlfriend in 1982. We spent about five days there and had a great time. We went to Second City, a very funny comedy club. Lots of big comedians got their start on Second City, including Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Bill Murray. We also went to the Art Institute, which has the best collection of impressionist art I've seen outside of Paris.

I lived in Chicago from 1985 to 1992 while attending the University of Chicago in Hyde Park, on the south side, about eight miles south of downtown. The University of Chicago is a beautiful campus, modeled after Cambridge University in England. Most of it was funded by John D. Rockefeller, the famous oil tycoon.

Chicago has many great restaurants of nearly every ethnic group. It is also famous for its deep dish pizza. My favorite pizza place in Chicago is Giordanno's, located on Michigan Avenue. Another great restaurant is Berghoff's, a famous old German restaurant on Adams Street downtown.

Chicago is well-known for its blues and jazz music. Two of my favorite blues bars are Buddy Guys, located on 7th Street downtown, and Sullivan's, located nearby. Both serve superb food along with their music.

The Sydney Opera House

"I like to be on the edge of the impossible", said John Utzon, the Danish architect who was responsible for designing the Sydney Opera House. On my recent visit to Australia I toured the world- renowned landmark. I learned that its construction and design was indeed a story of someone achieving 'the impossible', but it is also a story of dreams and relationships broken and restored.

The Sydney Opera House is a World Heritage Site because so many of the architectural methods and engineering techniques used to build it were completely new and were created expressly for its construction. Utzon's design for the building was chosen from 233 submitted, but no one, including Utzon, was really sure a structure of its kind could be built. The tiles on the outside are just one example of the innovation required. They change color depending on the amount of daylight and the temperature, so they rarely look the same. Most importantly they are self -cleaning. It took Utzon three years to design just the tiles.

Utzon devised and tested sixteen different schemes for making the famous white sails on the building's roof before he figured out how to cut them from circles of steel. 16,000 workers were required to be on site during the construction of the signature 'sails'. Utzon by the way did not call them sails. He wanted them to be abstract so each visitor to the opera house could have their own idea what they looked like. Some people say they remind them of waves, a dragon's back, seashells, or dishes in a dishwasher. I thought they looked like Marilyn Munroe's white dress in the movie Some Like It Hot when a blast of air from the subway grate blows her skirt up into the air. Whatever they remind you of, those 'sails' on the opera house roof took eight years to build.

Ten years after Utzon started work on the opera house a newly elected Australian government gave him an ultimatum. He either had to make concessions in his design and collaborate with government architects so the building could be finished more quickly, or he had to quit. Utzon resigned and the government hired others to complete his work. Utzon never went back to Sydney to see the finished opera house even though he won many of architecture's most prestigious awards for designing it.

Thirty- three years after he'd resigned someone from the opera house staff approached Utzon to apologize to him and ask for an interview. Would he be willing to let them see all his notes and drawings and would he explain his original ideas so they could be kept for posterity? Utzon accepted the apology and agreed to the interview. Now the Australian government is slowly making changes to the Opera House so that eventually it will look exactly as Utzon planned. They have already replaced concrete outer walls with banks of windows and repainted interior walls with new colors following Utzon's original plans. Utzon's son has flown to Sydney to supervise these changes. John Utzon died last year at age 90 but he died knowing that his original 'dream' for the Opera House would become a reality in the future.

Seven million people from all over the world visit the opera house each year and 350,000 take a guided tour. They learn all about how the one of kind architectural masterpiece was built. They also hear the story of how the relationship between the opera house designer and the country of Australia was broken and restored because each party was willing to be gracious and forgiving. Both of the stories are inspiring and important.

Is Thailand Safe to Visit?

As a longtime resident of Thailand I have a certain insight into whether or not Thailand is safe for visitors or those wishing to stay longer term.

There are usually multiple instances of unsafe activities going on in the country at any chosen time. I will review the major areas where foreigners need to take extra precautions to stay safe during their stay.

Bangkok, the Capital of Thailand, is ground zero for political movements. The country has not seen stability politically in a very long time. Some would say it was never stable in modern times. Currently there are red shirt groups and yellow shirt groups that are in opposition. The military sometimes gets involved and stages military coups - and there is always fighting - sometimes lethal as groups confront each other, and attempt to change the power structure that exists. This is a constant struggle and matters little who happens to be in power at the moment, there is always unrest in Bangkok.

The problems are compounded when police and military are called on to preserve order in the streets... sometimes the hand is heavy and they end up killing protestors. This does not help the situation and it can escalate from there.

As a visitor to Thailand you would not want to be spending your vacation or any time at all in Bangkok when there are bombs going off and military and/or police in the streets to control the demonstrations. It is just a very bad idea. It is not safe and you will not have a good time. If all you are coming to Thailand for is to spend time in Bangkok, choose a time when there is peace in the country or at least a small risk of violence letting loose.

Another area that is often times not safe - and currently it is not, is the deep south. Muslim separatists in the southern Thailand provinces have waged a violent campaign against both Thai Buddhist and Thai Muslim believers that have not joined their radical organization. There have been approximately 3,000 deaths in the south over the past few years, though no foreigners are known to have been killed yet. Thailand tourism officials do not recommend that foreigners visit these southernmost provinces and you would be wise to limit your travels to the other provinces.

Natural disasters like the devastating tsunami of 2004 have the potential to re-occur any time, though the chances are apparently not high that a similar even will recur in Thailand anytime soon.

Pattaya, Patong Beach, Patpong, and other tourist filled areas can be bad news at night. There are robberies and assaults that occur nightly, but if you are not one of the ones bar-fining girls or ladyboys for a night of fun in your room you will probably be OK. There are a number of things you should know about Thai culture - which goes well beyond this article. In my last paragraph of this article I will give you another resource that will help you immensely.

Is Pattaya safe? Sometimes. Is Patong Beach safe? More often than Pattaya, yes. Is Patpong safe? Not so safe in general, no I would not consider it safe.

Your mileage may vary during your trip if you plan on availing yourself of the adult carnival of fun in Thailand. You may well find yourself beat up and in the hospital or you might have a perfectly safe time, despite indulging in outrageous nighttime activities. It is hard for me to give a blanket statement about whether Thailand is safe for all people because all people are different.

The last time anyone ventured a guess there were approximately 100,000 foreigners living in Thailand as long-term expats here for more than vacation. During a typical year when there is not much political fighting in Bangkok there are over 12 million foreign tourists per year enjoying the country. Very few of them have a problem with their physical safety while they are here. Most of them take some precautions. Many of them are frequent visitors.

Visiting or staying in Thailand can be dangerous or it can be relatively safe and enjoyable. Probably the biggest factor in the equation is you. If you are the type that looks for trouble or does not try hard to avoid trouble you might find it in Thailand. If you do not have any experience in the country you will probably be doing yourself a substantial favor by researching more about Thai culture and the experiences of foreigners in the country.

If you're considering a trip to Thailand and are concerned about safety during your stay, there is an informational article I just published at my main Thailand-focused site, www.ThaiBlackBook.com that will supplement the information you learned here. The name of this Thailand informational article is, "Is Thailand Safe to Visit?"

Asian Dating - Facts About Thai Women

The most popular Thai dating websites are:

Thai Matches, Thai Love Links, Foreign Ladies, Thai Darling, Sweet Singles, Thai Kisses, Blossoms, Thai Singles Online, Love Awake, Thai Websites.

Statistics of internet dating in Thailand:

Currently (2010) there are no any reliable statistics about dating online with Thai women. Most of the Asian dating sites provide "statistics" which are ads only and nothing more. One thing is certain: the percentage of marriages between Thai women and western men is perhaps the highest of all Asian countries.

Facts about Thai people:

* Almost every Thailand girl wants to marry a "farang". "Farang" means "white man" in Thai.
* Marriages between Asian men and white women are extremely rare.
* Thai culture is perhaps one of the most liberal on the Earth as to the sexual issues.
* Thai girls are usually completely dedicated to their partner or husband, in a much higher degree than women from western countries.
* Cultural differences between Thailand and western countries are huge. Dating with a Thailand girl is somehow dating with the Asian culture itself.
* Most of them people speak English. Their English vocabulary is usually poor.
* Their education system is very different from our. Do not expect the same level of knowledge about the world.
* In most situations they are peaceful and joyful. They don't like any kind of conflicts. Their culture is extremely gentle.
* Thailand is a very bureaucratic country. Prepare yourself to complicated and time consuming procedures for getting married, setting a company, buying a house or finding a job.
* There is one, but probably the most important, good news. If you find a wife in Thailand you are a lucky chap. This is a personal, not objective opinion: there is no country like Thailand. There are no women as Asian women. This is a real paradise.

Nairobi famous Landmarks Africa Kenya-Top Nairobi Kenya Spots & Places

Nairobi attractions and places to stay

Nairobi is the largest city in East Africa. It began as a shanty town depot of the East African Railroad in 1899. In a little over 90 years it has become one of the major cities of modern Africa and a headquarters of the United Nations. It is a vibrant and growing city-a mosaic of many races and cultures.

Most of the many tourists to Kenya only spend about one or two nights in Nairobi. There are several places to visit and places to eat in Nairobi. The main attractions of a Nairobi vacation safari are listed below. From a variety of sight seeing options, the below are recommended;

The Nairobi National game park

(11,300hectares). the Nairobi park is not far from the city center, but gives you a real bush experience. You'll see the most game except elephant. This is possibly your best chance of seeing rhino. Stay in your vehicle. This is by far the most favoured Nairobi attraction spot.

AFEW giraffe center-Nairobi Landmarks

In Langata. See giraffe eye to eye and feed them by hand-long, sticky, blue tongues and giant eyelashes. Fun for children and adults. Tea room, gift shop and nature trails. Operated by Africa Fund for Endangered Wildlife.

Karen Blixen Museum

Ostrich Farm

In Langata area Nairobi. Feed the ostriches and stand on their eggs. Display and sale of various crafts-see craftsmen at work. This is one of the many fun Nairobi tour activity (ies).

Tribal dancing in an amphitheater and displays of traditional Kenyan homesteads (boma). Many tour groups and heavy-duty souvenir selling. The Bomas is the top cultural Nairobi safari place.

Kenya Nairobi National Museum

Tourist time in Nairobi is also spent shopping-searching out Kenyan mementos and gifts to take home. There are soapstone carvings, wonderful ethnic jewelry, many wooden carvings, colorful cloth kanga and kikoi. Most hotels have souvenir shops. African Heritage shops (downtown and on the airport road) have a broad selection and good displays.

If you are more adventurous, try the block of small blue duka across the road from the Nairobi city market building. Leave behind your valuables, but take your humor, patience and bargaining skills and have fun. Downtown Nairobi is full of souvenir shops. Farther out in the suburbs are Utamaduni (up market craft centre) and Kazuri beads (original ceramics) in Karen, and the craft Market and undugu (co-op store) in the Westlands area.

Where to stay in Nairobi-Places to Sleep Nairobi Kenya

Hotels in Nairobi area are either in the city centre, just beyond the center, or in the suburbs. Price is not necessarily linked to location. Many of these hotels could be anywhere in the world and most are acceptable rather than exceptional. To phone Nairobi from outside Kenya, dial +254 and the city code is 20 before other numbers.

Around & Near Nairobi city Hotels

Cheap Holidays in Pattaya, Thailand

When is the best time to come to Pattaya on Holiday?

Pattaya something for everyone and at all times of the year. Most people from the West, Europe and North America tend to come to holiday in Pattaya form the months of November to Late February March (High season). The weather is normally cooler and sunny. The beaches are full as are the bars and everyone is having a good time including the hoteliers and property renters.

When you come on holiday to Pattaya, let's face it. It's a cheap holiday compared to where you live and the weathers warm and the people friendly.

But have you considered just how much cheaper your holiday would be if you came in low season? How much more extra would you have to enjoy yourself?

Consider for a moment what is cheaper and the savings you can make. The cost of the flight at least 15% less in low season.

Hotel accommodation. Again big savings to be made. In low season it's not unusual to see hotels offering rooms at 40% below the high season rate.

Property rental owners also reduce there rental rates in Pattaya considerably compared to the rental rates in high season. An example of this: View Talay 5. In high season the average rental is between 19,000Baht up to as high as 35,000Baht for a 48sqm studio apartment. That's a lot of money! In low season you can rent in View Talay 5 from 14,000Baht with sea views. I won't tell the % savings as I'm sure you can see for yourself.

View Talay 2. High season rental from: 15,000 to 28,000Baht for a 37sqm studio room.

Low season, from 8,000 to 14,000Baht and plenty in between these prices

One more thing! When renting your much more likely to get the condo or villa you want. Unlike in high season. If you haven't booked you holiday home by late August you may well have problems finding what your looking for and at the price you want to pay.

So when is the best time to come on holiday to Pattaya Thailand?

Well Dates worth considering. April. Ok it's hot but you have Songkran the water festival to cool you down. If you've never experienced Songkran in Pattaya before then you must come, if only once in your life. Warning!! You will get very, very wet! Prices can still be high in this month as everyone tries to take advantage before low season proper arrives.

May, June and some of July can be too hot for someone on holiday in Pattaya. Middle of July to the end of October is good. The weather is not so hot. In fact its close to the same as in high season. Yes it will rain, as this time of year is also the monsoon season in Thailand. BUT. Pattaya is not like the rest of Thailand. It does not rain for weeks and weeks may be every other day for a couple of hours which cools things off nicely. Then you can go weeks with out any rain. Remember it can rain in high season too!

If you can come on holiday to Pattaya between the months of July to the end of October you will find the following.

Cheaper air fairs.

Un-crowded peaceful beaches.

People pleased to see you.

Discounted prices on all forms of entertainment.

Cheaper hotel rooms in Pattaya.

Cheaper rental accommodation in Pattaya.

A better selection of everything that's on offer and at a cheaper price than in high season.

So if you'd like to save money and still have a fantastic holiday then consider coming to Pattaya in low season.

This article has been written by James Lamborn who has lived over 7 years in Pattaya and has broad based knowledge of of the property rental market in Jomtien and Pattaya. He has found out, often the hard way where to rent and where to avoid. His articles are meant to give the reader the knowledge he has gained over the years and help the reader from making some of the same mistakes he and others have made.

The Three Types of Police Force in Spain

Spain has three types of police force much to the confusion of visitors to the country. Some autonomous regions, like the Basque Country, will even have a fourth. Each has their own defined policing role, distinctive uniform and training. All three groups are armed.

The Policia Locale, or Municipal Police

Wear navy uniforms with blue shirts and are responsible for enforcing compliance with the local town or village laws. Parking, traffic control, excessive noise, neighbour problems and making sure bars and places of entertainment close on time, comply with gambling laws and similar minor offences.

They are usually accessible and helpful and are your first port of call if you have a grievance against a neighbour or business.

Those British new to Spain will sooner or later come across the word 'denuncia' and confuse this with the similar English phrase 'to denounce' meaning to make public an accusation.

In Spain the meaning is similar but does not have such strong connotations. If you wish the Policia Locale to assist you in, for instance, a problem with a neighbour's noisy dog, you will be expected to make a denuncia (complaint) before they will consider taking any action.

The Policia Nacional

Usually wear black uniform with white shirts and are responsible for dealing with most crime and with the overseeing of foreigners (extranjeros).

There will be a Policia Nacional police station in major towns and cities where foreigners needing a resident permit or other documentation will have to apply to obtain the necessary residence card or permit.

As in other countries the Policia Nacional has specialised units to deal with illegal immigration, drugs, fraud, money laundering, murder and organised crime, etc. If you are the victim of a crime you should report it to your local Policia Nacional police station.

The Guardia Civilia

Which, in General Franco's day, was the force that most foreigner visitors were aware of with their distinctive hats and green formal uniforms.

That has now changed, no longer do they stand guard at little huts a kilometre apart along the Southern coast and beaches making sure that no smuggling took place from Gibraltar and North Africa.

Nowadays you can expect the Guardia Civilia to be present in country areas where there may be a Guardia police station to deal with crimes instead of a Policia Nacional station in the smaller or outlying villages.

Among their responsibilities is to patrol the roads and motorways, mounting speed traps, random breath tests and checking that driving licenses, insurance, ITVs (MOTs) and other motoring documents are in order.

It is an offence not to have your license, insurance, etc. with you when driving. As random checks by the Guardia are fairly common, it is best to keep your motoring papers in your car and your driving licence in your wallet or purse at all times.

You may be unaware that you have committed a motoring offence until you get a fine through the post. Pay up within 10 days and you will get a 30% discount.

The Guardia will also assist you if you have a roadside breakdown.

The Guardia Civilia mount border and sea patrols and security to prevent illegal immigration, drug and other illegal activities. They are responsible for bomb disposal and other anti terrorist activities, computer crime and other hi tech law enforcement.

Nerja Holiday Destination On The Costa Del Sol

Nerja is the most eastern town on the Costa del Sol and is 55 km (about 35 miles) from Malaga. It is only 50 minutes drive from Malaga's International Airport and an hour and a half from Granada and the Sierra Nevada ski resort. Part of its beauty comes from its magnificent geographical location. Within an area of 84 square kilometres and a population of approximately 17,000, it is one of the two municipalities in the whole province of Malaga with the most protected nature parks ('Sierra Tejeda-Almijara' and the 'Maro-Cerro Gordo').

Protected by the 'Sierra' mountains from the winds of the north and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Nerja enjoys an exceptional subtropical all year round climate.

From a tradition of fishing and agriculture, the primary economic activity of today is tourism. Because Nerja still conserves its culture, and together with its beaches, cliffs and mountains, it is one of the more popular destinations for many people looking to have a closer contact with nature; not forgetting, of course, the fairs, traditional festivities and nightlife that the town has to offer.

Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. It is said that Nerja has about 600 tapas bars, cafes and restaurants and as such will suit all tastes and pockets.

Flanked by a dramatic Sierra Almijara mountain range to the east, the town has fortunately managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario, which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums and borganvillea.

The heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcon de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe". It is a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, which once the site of the great Moorish castle. There are sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and of the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy mountain scenery.

The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style, which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or Mudejar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach.

Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.

Alan has been visiting Nerja since 1982 and invites you to visit Andalucia Villas ( http://www.andalucianvillasltd.com ) for renting holiday villas in the Nerja area of Andalucia. Villa Management and Sales information for visitors to Nerja.

Additionally, another place you will want to see, especially if you have a family is Disneyland Resort Paris. This is a holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée, a new town suburb, approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the center of the city. The resort includes:

- An entertainment district - Disney Village - containing shops, bars and restaurants.

- Golf Disneyland - A Disney-themed golf course, principally for adult visitors but also with a children's section.

- Seven Disney-owned hotels.

Paris is of course also a very important center of business, industry and government. The Paris region produces approximately one quarter of France's GDP, and La Défense, which is the largest purpose-built business district in Europe contains the headquarters of many major French companies as well as 15 of the world's 100 largest companies. Many international organizations including UNESCO, the ICC and the OECD, also have offices in Paris.

What You Should Know About a Thai Bar Girl

Going to the Asian country of Thailand is a treat all in itself. Thailand has something for every kind of traveler. It has breathing scenery, historic sacred temples, and for us guys: Thai bar girls.

A Thai bar girl is just waiting for men from the Western part of the world to come along. Many of them want money, but most of them want respect - something they don't get from Thai men. Because of their reputation for getting down and dirty, many Western guys think that they can just come to Thailand, scoop up a Thai bar girl and take her home - no questions asked. And while hooking up with a Thai girl isn't the hardest thing to do, it does require a little more effort than that.

The first thing you should do when you see a Thai bar girl that you like is to make eye contact with her. This will let her know that you are interested. Then flash a big, flirtatious grin at her. Thai girls are almost constantly smiling and they love it when you give them attention. After you all are smiling at each other, give her a chance to make her way over to where you're at.

Don't say anything rude or out of the way. Remember that Thai bar girls crave respect. Act reserved and polite. Offer her your business card or buy her a drink. Do not touch her. Public displays of affection are not nearly as acceptable in Thailand as they are in other countries. Keep your hands off until the two of you are alone - and trust me, if you play your cards right, you will get her alone.

Once you have let her know you'd like to get to know her better, if you have respected your boundaries in public, chances are high that she will let you take her home. There she will give you luxurious massages and cook delectable Thai food for you... among other things.

Planning a Maine Vacation

Maine is famous for its seacoasts, beaches, lakes, mountains, and holiday resorts attracting a huge number of tourists all through the year. Maine is particularly known for its water bodies, which consist of more than 2500 lakes and 5000 streams. The other attractions include twenty-six state parks that bring hunters, fishermen, skiers and campers very frequently to Maine. Therefore, it is important to plan a Maine vacation properly, in order to make the most of it.

Some of the major points of interest in Maine include the Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Allagash National Wilderness Waterway, The Wadsworth-Longfellow House, the St. Croix Island National Monument and Roosevelt Campobello International Park. The tourists can also visit the various spots of historical interests from Augusta, the capital city of Maine and the city of Bangor. These spots can be reached in approximately three to five hours drive by road. However, tourists are advised to find out the proper routes to these spots, as there are frequent cases of bad weather conditions, and roads belonging to lumber companies, which have gravel surface. Prior arrangements of accommodations are also necessary as there are only a few provisions available.

The Appalachian Trail can be a good hiking territory on top of Mount Katahdin for adventure lovers, or the Allagash Wilderness Waterway for rafting. The forests near the Baxter State Park are inhabited by deer, beaver, moose, bears, and recently introduced caribou. The creatures come down to the roads, in early winter mornings for licking the salt from the roads, while in summer they can be seen in shallow waters. However, along with getting a glimpse of all these creatures, tourists are warned to be careful about the damages, caused by the creatures each year on the roads. There have been records of fatal accidents and thus, it is very important to take necessary precautions.

Tourists can take the help of vacation planners, or plan by going through the detailed information about Maine Vacations, available on the Internet.

Best Value For Money Greek Holidays

For some people, lack of funds is no obstacle to travel. For many, seeing another country in the cheapest way possible can provide some of the most memorable and exciting adventures as opposed to see everything from the comfort of an air conditioned bus and returning to a luxury suite every night.

There are many ways to get great value for money when travelling around Greece.

Cruises - what better way to explore the exquisite islands of Greece than by boat? You can go for as little as one day to as long as fourteen days on a cruise that will said around the Aegean, stopping off at various islands and hot spots. If you do your research you will be sure to find a bargain online, something that is all inclusive and will give you excellent value for money on your trip to Greece.

Hostels - are a seriously underrated way to lodge in Europe. Not just for students and young people, hostels can offer private rooms with bathrooms and offer a perfectly suitable room for the night for much less than a hotel. You might not have all of the extra features of a hotel, but hopefully you'll be spending all your time exploring rather than in a room!

Look for smaller, boutique or home stay apartments in small towns and villages for a more intimate experience of Greece. Sometimes staying out of the major towns and cities will save you a lot of money and give you a completely different and perhaps more authentic experience of the country. You won't have to battle crowds at restaurants or have your exotic strolls ruined by an over abundance of souvenir shops.

Food - is another way to get the best value for money when visiting Greece. Like most places in the world, street food is often the best kind.

Little taverns, bars and eateries are usually the best and cheapest places to eat the cuisine the country is famous for.

Organised Bus Tours - organised bus trips and tours around Greece are a great way to see the country if you are not confident enough to go it alone. While they do cost more than seeing the sites unaided, the money will be well spent. A bus tour like Contiki, Insight or Kumuka will take you and a group of people to all the sites and will arrange and suggest places to eat and will also look after accommodation so you don't have to worry about a thing. If you prefer a single or half day tour, these too will give you good value for money as they can take you to all the places you want to go efficiently, taking all the worry away. Not only are these kinds of tours great for efficient travelling, they will also provide you with a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and share some great memories.

Whether you prefer to bus about, sleep in hostels or try a cruise you will also be able to get good value for money if you research not only your flights and travel insurance online, but also your accommodation. A little web savvy can go a long way!

Learn to Know the Bar Girls in Pattaya

While its hardly fair to describe the girls in Pattaya as being unique in that they are mostly Thai girls, it can be fairly said that there is a uniqueness about them that is challenging to define.

To truly get a handle on what the girls in Pattaya are really about, its necessary to carry out some research into the background and culture of these delectable creatures to fully comprehend why they do the things they do, and to be able to deal with the oft  times tragic and other times hilarious behavior they often display.

If you are new to or are planning your first trip to Thailand, be well advised to do bit of digging around for at least some information on the girls in Pattaya and in Thailand overall before you take the plunge.

My memory takes me back to my first trip to Thailand ten years ago, as an incompetent, bumbling and extremely naïve "Pattaya Virgin."

I was the typical middle aged "farang" (foreigner) who was just surfacing after a particularly harrowing and debilitating break up with my western wife of fifteen years. I guess I was seeking some sort of consolation and understanding in the arms of whoever was willing to listen.

While there are many of the girls in Pattaya who are more than capable of providing me with what I sought, my lack of education about these beautiful and at times little she demons, almost had me plunging headlong back into the murky pit of despair I was trying so hard to climb out of.

Fortunately I was traveling with a couple of "Pattaya Wise" friends who were well versed in the wiles of the bar girls in Pattaya and who were just able to grab my heels in time before I started falling hopelessly in love with almost every bar girl in Pattaya my hungry, ogling  and somewhat lustful gaze fell upon.

Before venturing into Thailand it's imperative to be aware that Thailand is a nation whose culture is vastly different from that of the West. It is for ninety percent of the populace, steeped in Tao Buddhism and many things we of the west might consider strange or abhorrent are not only accepted in Thailand but are indeed the norm.

It's also important to remember that the lives led by the bar girls in Pattaya are a far cry from the ideals set down by  traditional Thai culture and are far more strict than those of Christianity.

The girls in Pattaya live their lives almost totally absorbed in their culture and traditional family values. Buddhism to them is not a religion, but rather a way of life. However it's not uncommon for a girl to bend the rules a little in the contant battle to survive within a society lacking in any from of social security hand outs such as welfare and the dole etc.

With this in mind, and while not considering herself a lady of ill repute, it's quite acceptable for a girl in Pattaya to "go with" the patrons of the bar she works in for a limited period (short time) or for the night (long time) for a bout of sensual and sexual pleasure found hard to rival worldwide in an effort to make enough money to support her family. The majority of the girls are well experienced in satisfying the needs of the customer and those that are only new to the game are quickly instructed by the other more senior girls or the Mama San who is herself usually one of the ex-bar girls in Pattaya.

With prostitution being strictly prohibited in Thailand the "donation" made to the bar girls in Pattaya, is usually  predetermined before leaving the place of her employment. Most of the girls are fiercely loyal to "their" bar (while the money is there) treating it and her fellow bar girls in Pattaya more like family and a home away from home rather than a place of employment.

The "customer" she goes with will need to pay the bar what's known as a "bar fine" which is a small pre-set figure for the individual bar...before leaving with his new found love. Go-go bars have a higher bar fine because they themselves tend to pay the girls more to perform pole dancing "etc". on a raised platform, most times scantily dressed if indeed dressed at all.

This money pays for her freedom from the bar for the duration of the customer's whim. You should be aware also, that if you should require the company of your bar girl/girls in Pattaya, for an additional night or two, you will need to pay the bar fine for each night she is absent from the bar. This is strictly adhered to. If she herself requires an evening off for no legitimate reason, she will then need to pay her own bar fine as she will also have to do if you refuse to pay it.

The number of bar fines for the working month is recorded for each individual bar girl in Pattaya and are tallied up at the end of the working month. She then receives a small percentage of the total. It's not uncommon for a particularly attractive or alluring girl to amass as many as 25 to 30 bar fines for the month during the high season.

It should be noted here that tips are a communal thing and that unless the tip is placed directly in the hand of the girl it's intended for, the tips are shared by all the girls in the bar sometimes including the mama san.

You shouldn't be at all surprised to learn that the bar girl in Pattaya of your dreams could well have at least one child to a Thai man and indeed many even have a Thai husband or boyfriend waiting for them at home.

Traditionally in Thailand it is the responsibility of the girls of the family to support their parents. The girls in Pattaya's parents will in most cases live somewhere in a remote village where more often than not, they will be raising the girls child or children. At the end of each month, she will send most of her money to her parents who in turn will pay for the child's or children's upbringing and education.

While it's very easy to fall hopelessly in love with the girls in Pattaya, most men who do...find it far easier to take the girl out of the bar than  to take the bar out of the girl.

Many men who take a Thai girl out of Thailand find the same principle applies and research indicates that the most successful relationships that exist between the girls in Pattaya or in Thailand generally, and foreigners are the ones where the foreigner lives in Thailand with his Thai wife or partner.

Be well warned and well advised.

Hotel of the Month - MyHotel Brighton

WHY VISIT? A hop, skip and a jump away from the main railway station, MyHotel is located in the heart of the action in Brighton's trendy North Laines. The seaside sister to London's MyHotel Bloomsbury and MyHotel Chelsea, this brilliant-white building houses 80 rooms set over four floors, and is an ideal base for a chic stopover or a long weekend of sun, sea and style.

ROOMS WITH A VIEW - The creative vision of New York design guru Karim Rashid, MyHotel Brighton juxtaposes cutting-edge good looks with a hint of feng shui. Rashid's flair for the futuristic is immediately evident in the funky guestrooms, where bright-white curved walls are the perfect canvas for the hits of vibrant colour that epitomize his signature approach. We loved lounging on the white leather bed, complete with integrated sound system that lets you play your iPod through flush-mounted ceiling speakers, and positioned perfectly for viewing the suspended flatscreen.

STYLE STEAL - No space is too small for some statement ceramics. Take your cue from the compact en-suites, where freestanding basins by Agape Roto add real wow factor. Team with a glass shower screen in an acid-bright hue for real Rashid style.

DINING AND DRINKING - Grab a bite to eat in on the terrace at espresso café Cup, or take your time with a lazy lunch or dinner in Table, MyHotel's modern British restaurant. The jewel in the hotel's crown is its destination cocktail bar, Merkaba. Boasting sleek timber-panelled walls, a gold-leaf bar, ambient music and lighting, it's the ideal spot to enjoy a pre- or post-dinner cocktail from a menu designed by award-winning mixologists.

OUR VERDICT - Staying at MyHotel is the high-style way to relax, recharge and soak up some summer sun and sea-fresh air.

WEEKEND ESSENTIALS - Brighton is, of course, a Mecca for design buffs, lovers of vintage and art aficionados. Take a stroll round the Laines and discover a wealth of retro boutiques and contemporary design stores, such as The Lollipop Shoppe.

Foodies will be equally at home, particularly those partial to a spot of seafood. We love recently opened restaurant Fishy Fishy. The brainchild of our favourite TV presenter Dermot O'Leary and two close pals, it's already full to the gills, so book in advance.

AoNang Krabi - The Paradise on Earth

The white sand beach, tranquil atmosphere and array of activities are enticing tourists from all over the world to AoNang Krabi. This uncluttered beach resort has enough accommodation options that are guaranteed to give you value for money.

AoNang is Krabi's main beach. The town area is small, yet has sufficient restaurants, bars, discos and shops to cater to the visitors. Though nightlife at AoNang Krabi is not as vibrant as that at Phuket or Pattaya, it is enjoyable in a subdued way with plenty of live music to dance away the night. Most beach bars offer spectacular sunset views.

The beach looks majestic with steep limestone cliffs in the backdrop, especially when drenched in red light cast by the setting sun. The azure calm sea and soft sand beach offer the ideal setting for a serene beach vacation. As the beach is separated from the town by the beach road, the beach area remains free from hotels.

AoNang is a favored destination of those seeking adventure. Various water sports options are there, being a beach resort; but what sets AoNang apart from other Thailand beaches is the presence of sheer limestone karsts that are a delight to rock climbers.

The presence of a slew of islands nearby makes AoNang a preferred base for divers. There are diving schools and shops in the beach area to help the tourists with their diving expeditions.

Top Vacation Spots in the United States

If your looking for the top vacation spots in the united states, you'll generally find that they are located near the coasts. There are literally hundreds of places to choose from, but here are some of the top places that I have been to.

New Jersey beaches

New jersey has some of the finest beaches on the east coast of the united states. From the north eastern tip of Sandy hook, with old military forts and majestic views of the Manhattan skyline to the pizza filled aroma of Seaside heights, there are plenty of beaches to choose from to take your family. One place I recommend is Wildwood where there are two boardwalks filled with rides and games for your kids and loved ones. You can find literally hundreds of low cost hotels and motels to choose from, and most are located just a short walk from all the attractions.

Naples, Florida

Naples Florida is located on the southwestern edge of the florida coast. With world renowned architecture and old style building design, there is plenty of things for you to do in Naples. One leading attraction of this vacation destination is 5th ave district, where you can shop at some of the finest stores in Florida. In the spring, the weather is perfect and you can watch the sunset from the famous 2nd ave. pier. Every sunset is more majestic then the last, and you'll be sure to enjoy plenty of night time activities as well.

Top spots in San Diego, California

San Diego has been widely regarded as one of the top vacation spots in the United States. With its warm weather year round, and wide variety of activities from sea world to amusement parks, its sure to be a winner with your whole family. Another major attraction you can visit is the San Diego zoo. Some of the highlights of the zoo include the flamingo lagoon, the polar bear plunge and elephant mesa. Parking at the zoo is relatively cheap and there are a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.

Fun in New York city

By far one of the top vacation spots in the U.S. Would have to be New York City. There is so much to do in New York that its hard to list everything. You could visit the Statue of liberty, take a ride on a speedboat, or view the city from the air with a helicopter tour. You can find virtually any type of cuisine out there, at any time of the day or night, and be able to do almost anything your heart desires.
